Have you ever dropped something in the water? Are you looking for lost “treasure”? The PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course will teach you effective ways to find objects underwater and bring them to the surface. Small, large or just awkward, there is a way to bring them up.

The PADI Search and Recovery Specialty course gives you the basic theoretical knowledge and practical experienc
e to help you find even the smallest lost item. On the course you will be shown various ways of conducting search patterns and find lost items and lift them to the surface. Not only are these skills that you will be taugust fun, but very practical and ultimately useful because eventually, you’ll lose something in the water.

As a Search and Recovery Diver, you’ll gain the techniques and know what search
patterns to use to search for and recover any lost item. This speciality course will count towards a Master Scuba Diver Certification. The course itself is just one full days diving in open water and will be run on Saturday 16th October 2010.

BRITISH DIVERS WHO HIT A RECORD ROCK BOTTOM

- as featured in Metro Wednesday 15th September 2010-

Rene Houben is pulled through the midnight murk of sump two, 3 miles
underwater tunnel on a 'scooter' propulsion unit to conserve energy

A group divers have recently successfully surfaced after diving 5.5 miles into a previously unexplored cave system. This record breaking dive took them 50 hours and included two nights camped deep in an underground cavern.

The team went as far as their safety line would allow and they used scooters to pull them through the underwater passages of the Pozo Azul Caves in Covenera (Northern Spain). After two underwater passages or 'sumps' they emerged into a small dry cavern where they camped for two nights.
